for you.
Please accept them.
I do not know either. [He's about as clueless as you are. Just two men, one of them confused about Gadriel's intentions and one of them confused about...everything. ]
it is
[Yes he found a way to make text smaller]
I think I am broken.

it explains much
but it is complicated. [Because, well...never mind. ]
I apologize again for my words that night.

I apologize again for my words that night.
I had no right to say those things.
You were the only one who knew what to do. I should not have doubted you
much less insulted you. [Gadriel: the saddest worm. This is what happens when any transgression is normally met with brutal penance. ]
I will await your command.

I got something I want to show you.
Are you at the treehouse?
Are you at the treehouse?
"What?" What was that you were saying quietly? Well whatever. "Okay! Love you, too!"
Whenever he did arrive, Night Sky was, initially, nowhere to be seen. That was because she was up on the very top of the treehouse, perched on a branch, waiting for the opportune moment to hop down and land in front of Lucifer, stopping herself from the free fall at the very last moment with a dramatic flourish of brand new wings that looked like they were made of stained glass; green and golden veined like a butterfly.
"Ta da!" Sorry for any potential heart attacks.

She had a feeling he might panic a little and was quick to murmur an "I'm okay." To further assure that she had stuck the landing.
Asking for the sky creature transformation had been the first step — and surely would have been enough for most. But then she remembered all Lucifer had said about flying, about having wings, and she figured — why not get some of her own so she would be able to join him in their usual forms.
"Hm." She hummed contemplatively as she stepped closer, wings fluttering behind her. Night Sky reached a hand down to brush her fingers under his chin. "I will forgive you this time, sweet thing. But only if you join me in the sky."

She grinned and leaned in to kiss him as he rose, lingering with her free hand pressed to his cheek; the one gripping his squeezing tight.
"You know, I used to not like being off the ground." She murmured as she pulled back, giving a little hop so she could lift off the ground, wings fluttering, still holding his hand. "Then I flew with you. It felt so... freeing. Not as scary as I thought it might be, especially with you at my side."

And there they were, hovering above the ground, fingers entwined. How disgustingly romantic.
"I have." She admitted. "As a duck, mostly, but I practiced with these wings before I came to you — I didn't want to ruin the flight." It needed to be perfect and she needed to not smash into a tree or something along the way. "You know all the best places to fly, I bet. Or maybe we can just..." a beat. She grinned. "wing it."

She had a feeling he might like that one. Night Sky laughed and kissed his cheek.
"I love you too, dearest. Now, seriously, where do you want to go? As high as we can, to start?"
